(More customer reviews)We bought this cage for our dwarf rabbit. He seems to really enjoy hopping from level to level. There's plenty of room for him to move around or to spread out and lay down. We were able to fit his litter box, several straw mats, and a variety of different toys in the cage with plenty of room to spare.
While this cage is sturdy enough (if you add extra c-hooks, which are provided) for a small rabbit, I'm just not sure if this is the right cage for a larger rabbit. For our dwarf rabbit, this cage is perfect!
You have to put this together and while it isn't very difficult, it IS time consuming.

(More customer reviews)After reading the posting about the unfortunate event of the rabbit losing a tooth and later passing on I must say that I'm deeply saddened. I've lost a few of my favorite bun's before so I know how much it hurts. I have several of these cages and know others who have them as well and we all love them including a very good friend of mine who breeds and rescues rabbits who need a place to stay till they can find a loving home. As a fellow rabbit owner (6 to be exact) I must say that I'm very sorry about your loss, however I don't believe that cage is to blame I think it just an unfortunate event which could happen in any cage.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this cage several weeks ago to home a rescue rabbit. The instructions and assembly of the cage was easy. It didn't hurt that I have another cage exactly like it. The only difference is that this one came with a small shelf and ramp so Peter rabbit could rest above the cage bottom. The removable tray is great! It is one of the major reasons why I bought this particular cage. It is easy removed and cleaned; it is also quite deep, so any mess he makes is not "piled" near him. I reviewed a lot of cages before deciding to purchase this one. Pricing is very important to me....after all....I'm broke. I rescue rabbits and work as a foster mom through a local animal shelter; so, the cheaper the better. In terms of the cage dimensions and the removable tray as well as the easy opening top....this was the best buy I could find. What was even better is that I set up an Amazon Prime trial and got next day shipping free. What could be better? The ONLY downfall to this cage is the removable shelf. Instead of making a shelf that can be clipped onto the cage frame, this one just sits on the frame and "clicks" into place. So, anytime the shelf was bumped from below, it would fall down and spook Peter rabbit. I ended up drilling a couple of small holes into it and running wire through the holes and around the cage frame to hold it into place. Its been great since.

(More customer reviews)I ordered 4 of these and of the three that have arrived so far, one was broken during shipping (poorly protected in the original packaging). Of the two that are undamaged, I can say that they are easy to assemble and look great. The wire enclosure and flooring pieces are epoxy coated and very sturdy. I am a bit concerned about the rabbits chewing the inside wood that is exposed and wondering how the light weight wood will hold up in the weather. Otherwise, for the price, ease of assembly, super fast, free super saver shipping, I feel like I got my money's worth. And Amazon has ordered a return shipping pick up at my home with UPS so returning the broken one is easy and convenient.

Rabbit Hutch with Enclosure 48.25x37.75x29.75" Review

(More customer reviews)This is a decent hutch, big enough for one regular size bun or two dwarf. May not stand up to much winter weather due to light weight wood, probably best under a porch or in a barn during winter weather. I'll be a little surprised if this thing holds up during the life span of the bunnies.
Arrived with a lot of little nicks/dings/scratches. Shipping box was undamaged so this was minor factory damage. The pre-installed hinges on one of the roof panels had pulled off and all the screws were completely missing. A lot of holes that were supposed to be pre-drilled were non existent. All things that should have been easily caught and corrected before being shipped. Luckily there are a few handyman types in our house so we were easily able to do this ourselves. Otherwise it was easy enough to assemble.
Directions for adding the roof panel supports/hinges need to be clearer and again, no pre-drilled holes where they were supposed to be. You'll probably need a little drill to put this thing together!
Agree with other review that the upper level needs additional ventilation in warm climates, we cut out another window in ours.
So, decent hutch and not that hard to put together if you can handle some minor drilling.

(More customer reviews)Purchase this hutch for one rabbit and am now using it for two. There is a hatch that closes to separate the bottom from the top. Good quality and great price. Would highly recommend this hutch. Please note that a rabbit will chew the inside edges of the hutch.
