(More customer reviews)I got this because of the price. Other 48" rings that are wider (ovals) were over $300. I would definitely prefer more elbow room--luckily I'm thin!--but it's very sturdy and attractive. I got one of anchors in a stud and one is in with the drywall screws, and it seems nice and solid. Of course it *can* rock back and forth since there are only the two points of contact, but you would have to be pretty abusive for that to be a problem, I think. Well made, good deal, not for the extremely large-boned....

(More customer reviews)This shower curtain rod is only temporary and while it should do the job, I wouldn't want it for a permanent installation.
I had a few issues with this curtain rod. My first impression is that this rod is really cheaply made. The wall mounts are plastic and the tubing used to form the rod is extremely thin and light weight.
I also found that the kit doesn't come with instructions. It wasn't obvious to me how to assembly the rod just by looking at the pieces. I had to come back and look at the picture to understand how it assembled. Also, because there were no instructions or dimensions listed, I installed the wall mounts about 1/4" too close together which forced me to cut the straight section of the D. Additionally, the kit only comes with wood screws so a trip to my local big box store was necessary to get a box of drywall anchors.
Now that I've used the new shower a couple of times I've decided that this curtain rod just isn't wide enough. I'm using it over a standard sized tub so It shouldn't be a matter of the floor area being too small. It's that the curtain rod is too narrow.
Thankfully I'm using this shower curtain rod in a temporary setup while I finish remodeling another bathroom. Once that remodel is done I'll be redoing the bathroom I installed this curtain rod in. Had this been a permanent installation I would not be happy with this purchase at all.

(More customer reviews)This was a major upgrade for my clawfoot tub. This setup easily and does not leak (my old one leaked). The satin finish looks great. I planned to replace the shower head initially but then I tried it and loved it! Gives a great spray with great pressure and since it is adjustable there is a setting in there for everyone. It seems that there are few fixtures out there that are reasonably priced for clawfoot tubs. This will give you bang for every buck and won't break the bank either.

THE OVAL RING IS TWO PIECES AND THERE ARE NO SLEEVES TO CONNECT THEM WHICH SHOULD BE PROVIDED BY THE MANAFACTURE.
THE INSTUCTIONS ARE A JOKE.
I JUST BOUGHT SOME PVC PIPE AND CONNECTED THE RING, THE SHOWER IS GOOD QUALITY AND ADJUSTABLE TO BE HUNG HIGHER OR LOWER, VERY NICE AFTER SHBATHING FOR 6 WEEKS.
