Kittywalk Systems Cat Teepee Review

Kittywalk Systems Cat Teepee
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My korat is 11 years old. She was a very athletic indoor-outdoor cat and is still pretty active. However, we've now moved to a different house, and she's bored because the vet says she's too old to run around safely outdoorsKittywalk Systems Cat Teepee. I hoped that this teepee would allow her to see everything going on in the neighborhood as she has an unobstructed view from the top level. Alas, the top level is too small for any feline larger than a kitten. Also, an older cat (with arthritis) has problems going from one level to another. Finally, the teepee needs to come with a foam, waterproof mat on the bottom, but does not. I will be returning this item, but will probably buy something else from the same manufacturer, and I hope it will suit my cat better. She does like having her own, private "house."

Have use the Outdoor Feline funhouse probably 3-4 times a week, works great. I did have to watch the You Tube video to learn how to close the unit back up. It reminds me of the heat guards for windsheilds... your have to twist the opposite direction with your hands..but once we figure it out it was so easy and compact!! we have other enclosures that are big and heavy to bring out and put away...

PetSafe Premium In-Ground Cat Fence Review

PetSafe Premium In-Ground Cat Fence
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We have two 8 y/o cats who have roamed free since they were young. But after several near-misses with cars, all-night stop-outs, and expensive vet bills from altercations with other cats, I reluctantly decided the fence was the only option. We were the laughing stock of the street and even the vetinary office who vowed it would never work, BUT IT DOES. The biggest issue was with training - the manual advises a leash or a tie-out so that if the cat jumps when "corrected", he stays on the right side of the fence. But most non-Siamese cats will not walk on a leash, and we found they wouldn't walk on a tie-out either. Eventually we put the collars on them and supervised them extremely closely, retrieving them from the other side of the fence every so often. Occasionally after an escape we had to turn the system off to allow them back in without being corrected. It took about three weeks of 2-3 hours a day and was admitedly intensive from both a time and emotional standpoint - I hated putting my cats through it and they got very down about it in the heat of the training. But gradually we began leaving them unsupervised for longer and longer, and now they remain within the boundaries of the property, even after dark. It is such a relief to be able to let them out and not worry about where they are. If you don't have the time or the patience for constant supervision during training, an alternative option is to first purchase an indoor system, such as the PetSafe Pawz Away Instant Pet Barrier. The cat learns how the system works by himself in the safety of your home, and will generalize that learning to the outdoor fence, dramatically reducing supervision time. Yes, the fence and the collars are initially expensive but the peace of mind is well worth it.
Update a year later: Although we were thrilled with the effectiveness of the fence for the first year, the more feral of our two cats became extremely depressed the following summer, lying around listless and not wanting to go outside. If we carried him outside, chipmunks would run right in front of his nose and he wouldn't give chase, even though he had been a master hunter. Since he had always been the more reliable of the two cats, we ultimately decided to take him off the system and allow him to roam free again. The depression has cleared up and he is back to his old self, although we miss the peace of mind! Meanwhile, our other cat (with many more years of domestication in his ancestry) remains contained and we've seen no changes in his personality or demeanor.

Deluxe Kritter Kondo Outdoor Cat Enclosure - USA ONLY Review

Deluxe Kritter Kondo Outdoor Cat Enclosure - USA ONLY
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The new DELUXE Kritter Kondo is really great. It has double (french) doors on both ends, which make it much easier to remove your cat if he runs to one end to "hide" from you like my guy does.
The canopy is water resistant so it is great cover in both sun and rain (should your kitty be outside when it starts to shower).
This really is a perfect solution for anyone with an indoor kitty that would like to get some sun and fresh air. Works on patios, porches and balconies as well as in your yard.
It can even be used indoors if you need to keep your pets safe from visitors coming into your house. We used it in our basement when we had a Realtor coming in and showing our house. Kitties stayed safe in their kondo in the basement. No worries about them bolting out the door every time the house was shown.

Kittywalk Outdoor Net Cat Enclosure for Lawns Review

Kittywalk Outdoor Net Cat Enclosure for Lawns
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After putting up the kitty walk my clawed 15 lb cats (2) loved it. I would never allow them to be in the kitty walk unattended..but it is so nice to see them sniffing and enjoying the fresh air. They tried to push their face through the netting but they did not succeed and netting is in fine shape.
Worked great for me and I am buying 2 more so they can run even longer distance and have more room for fun.
Very happy with kitty walk.

Outdoor Feline Funhouse Review

Outdoor Feline Funhouse
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My two cats absolutely fell in love with this thing! One was especially grouchy from not getting enough attention, but as soon as I brought this home his attitude did a complete 180 and he never wants to get out of his little funhouse.
The mesh is really durable (I can pick up the whole thing with two cats inside and it holds very well). The cats do not claw or scratch the mesh, since they hate the feeling of their claws getting stuck in the mesh, so no worrying about it ripping. It is so easy to setup, you literally take it out of the carrying bag and it pops open for you. And putting it away takes seconds, all you have to do is fold it.
There are two zipper areas where you can let the cat(s) in and out. One of the zippers is really big (as big as the side of the tent) and the other one is smaller.
The carrying case comes with some stakes to put in the ground, which is really nice because my kitten gets freaked about by anyone walking by or loud noises and he tries to run away but he runs into the mesh and makes the whole thing roll over. So the stakes are nice to keep it in place.
The tent is big enough to fit two people in it! Not comfortably of course, but it's plenty of room for two or three cats.
All in all, a great purchase and high quality product.

Kittywalk Outdoor Net Cat Enclosure for Decks, Patios, Balconies Review

Kittywalk Outdoor Net Cat Enclosure for Decks, Patios, Balconies
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I live in Calgary, Alberta. In this city, cats are not allowed to roam outside of their own yards. The Kittywalk has been the perfect solution. The cats (I have three) go outside via their cat door, and have about 22 feet of Kittywalk to roam in. I have left it outside all winter for them, and it shows minimal signs of wear and tear after being out in -30 temperatures and snow for the last six months. The cats love it. I am now going to add another section and some curves for them!
