(More customer reviews)Solid machined brass receivers and close rod clearance tolerances make this a true "premium quality" assembly. Further, adding a rubber O-ring into the receivers quells any noise transmission from ring action on the rod. Installation was simple and straight forward. A note of caution, when cutting to length, be certain to cut squarely across and deburr all edges.
I mated this rod with brass roller shower curtain rings.
The results are beautiful, virtually silent, low effort, and should be very long lasting.
The only "bad" thing I can point out is the included drywall anchors and the wall mounting plate.
The plate that gets screwed to the walls seems flimsy by comparison to the receiver quality; looks like the tiny set screw would bend it.
The supplied drywall anchors do not hold at all; simply replace this inexpensive part with a plastic screw-in drywall anchor and your all set!
If your thinking about a replacement or, like me; doing a remodel, this is a MUST HAVE!!!
